Presente Simple: Explicación + Ejercicios

Present Simple

El present simple se usa para hablar de:

  • Rutinas
    I wake up at 7. → Me despierto a las 7.
  • Hábitos
    She drinks coffee every morning. → Ella bebe café cada mañana
  • Verdades universales
    Water boils at 100ºC. → El agua hierve a 100ºC.

💙 Nota: ¡No te compliques, úsalo igual que en español!

Formas del Present Simple

El present simple no cambia mucho según la persona, excepto en la tercera persona del singular (he / she / it) donde normalmente añadimos -s al final del verbo.

Vamos a ver cada forma paso a paso:

🟢 Forma afirmativa

Ejemplos:

  • I eat pizza. → Yo como pizza.
  • She lives in London. → Ella vive en Londres.
  • He plays football. → Él juega a fútbol.

🔴 Forma negativa

Sujeto + do + not + verbo (don’t de forma abreviada).
Para la tercera persona del singular (he, she, it) usamos does + not (doesn’t de forma abreviada) y el verbo principal NO lleva -s.

Ejemplos:

  • I do not work on Sundays. (I don’t work on Sundays.) →No trabajo los domingos.
  • She does not drink coffee. (She doesn’t drink coffee.) → Ella no bebe café.

❓ Forma interrogativa

Como en inglés no ponemos el signo de interrogación al principio, tenemos una estructura para identificar las preguntas:


Do / Does + sujeto + verbo?

Al igual que en la forma negativa, con he, she, it ponemos does y no añadimos la -s al final del verbo.

  • Do you work every day? →¿Trabajas todos los días?
  • Does she live here? → ¿Vive ella aquí?
