Imperativos: Explicación + Ejercicios

Imperatives

Los imperatives se usan para:

  • dar órdenes
  • dar instrucciones
  • hacer peticiones
  • dar consejos

Son muy comunes en inglés cotidiano, en carteles, recetas, normas y en clase.

FORMAS DE LOS IMPERATIVOS:

🟢 Forma afirmativa

Verbo principal en forma base (sin to)

Ejemplos:

  • Open the door. → Abre la puerta.
  • Sit here, please. → Siéntate aquí, por favor.
  • Listen to the teacher. → Escucha al profesor.

🔴 Forma negativa

DO NOT / DON’T + verbo principal

Ejemplos:

  • Don’t touch that. → No toques eso.
  • Don’t speak so fast. → No hables tan rápido.
  • Don’t forget your bag. → No olvides tu mochila.

💙 Nota: nunca usamos no solo. Siempre don’t.

🔵 Imperatives para sugerencias (let’s)

Let’s + verbo base

Ejemplos:

  • Let’s start the lesson. → Empecemos la lección.
  • Let’s go home. → Vámonos a casa.
  • Let’s practice together. → Practiquemos juntos.

👉 Nota: para la negativa usamos: Let’s not

3. Traduce al inglés.

  1. Abre tu libro.
