Some & any

Some y any se usan para hablar de cantidad, cuando no decimos el número exacto.

En español suelen significar:

• some → algo de / algunos / algunas
• any → algo de / nada de / ningún / ninguna (según la frase)

Se usan con palabras en plural y nombres incontables.

🟢 Some en afirmativas

Usamos some principalmente en frases afirmativas.

Ejemplos:

• There is some water in the bottle. → Hay algo de agua en la botella.
• There are some books on the table. → Hay algunos libros en la mesa.
• I have got some friends here. → Tengo algunos amigos aquí.

🔴 + ❓Any en negativas e interrogativas

Usamos any en frases negativas y en preguntas.

Ejemplos:

• There aren’t any books on the table. → No hay ningún libro en la mesa.
• I haven’t got any money. → No tengo nada de dinero.
• Are there any chairs in the room? → ¿Hay algunas sillas en la habitación?

💙 Nota importante:

Some también se puede usar en preguntas, cuando ofrecemos o pedimos algo de forma educada. Pero esto ya lo veremos en un nivel superior, simplemente para que lo sepas por si te lo encuentras por ahí.

Ejemplo:

• Would you like some coffee? → ¿Quieres un poco de café?

3. No tenemos huevos.
